THE SANFERRY ANNE

FRIDAY, JULY 5TH 2013

Sometimes I am lucky enough to combine two of my passions, photography and music.  I obviously love photographing people, in whatever situation they wish to be photographed in.  I am also a huge fan of music, especially live music.  I am totally in awe of anyone who can stand in front of an audience and make beautiful sounds out of any instrument (vocal chords included)! I can't play a single note on anything, other than a few bars of London's Burning on a recorder which I have a vague memory of playing in school!

I was delighted to be asked to photograph a band called The Sanferry Anne.  They call themselves and "un-covers" band as they play cover versions of songs that have long been forgotten by mainstream audiences. They were looking for some promotional material to use on their Facebook page and on flyers and posters for upcoming gigs. The best part for me was that I got a personal performance from them as they practised in the studio.

For those of you interested, the post details of their gigs on their Facebook page here, so if you're a fan of Neil Young, Creedance Clearwater Revival or Lucinda Williams, check them out!
